Igor Album MIXED AND MASTERED

The new Igor Spectre album TRAMPS IN STEREO is complete.

We’ve hammered out the mix and track order, and are shooting some photos for the album art this weekend with photographer Marc Campos.

Then all it needs is the design work done and it can go to the replication house.  On track for a late June/early July release.  Stay tuned for more info!

IGOR SPECTRE SEEKING NEW DRUMMER

Igor Spectre’s Santos De Leon is leaving the band amicably and we need someone to fill his shoes. He’ll be playing all the upcoming shows through July in order to give us time to train up a new drummer.

BAND: IGOR SPECTRE, established in 2000.

WE NEED: a new DRUMMER

BOOKERS WHO’VE BOOKED US FOR UPCOMING SHOWS: All shows we’ve booked with you through July 2009 are still 100% ON. No worries. Our current drummer will be sticking around for all shows through July if we need him to.

INFLUENCES: The Damned, The Cramps, New York Dolls, David Bowie, T. Rex, Meat Loaf, Specimen

WE’VE PLAYED WITH: The Black Keys, Thrill Kill Kult, Gene Loves Jezebel, 45 Grave, The Skulls, lots more.

WE PRACTICE WEEKLY: Sunday 11AM to 4PM. Wednesday nights for 1-2 hours every now and then for recording/woodshedding.

RECENT SHOWS PLAYED: The Cat Club, The Scene, our own club called STEREOVAMP in Highland Park, monthly. (We get 100% of the door.)

UPCOMING SHOWS: Knitting Factory, Bar Sinister, Spikes, Redwood.

REQUIREMENTS:

1) $35 per month from you to help pay rent for our LOCKOUT rehearsal spot in Glendale where the 2 FWY and the 5 FWY intersect. You get keys and can store your drums there, you have 24/7/365 access.

2) You have reliable transportation and are 100% reliable to show up for practices and shows and can GIVE AT LEAST 48 HOURS NOTICE in case of cancellation of practices and 2 WEEKS NOTICE in case of cancelling shows. NOTE: If you cancel a show without giving enough notice, you will be kicked from the band.

2.5) You have to be within a 25 mile radius of Hollywood, California. Sorry. No exceptions.

3) You’re available Sundays 11-4pm without us having to call you to show up. You just simply show up.

4) You absolutely kick fucking ass on the drums and there’s no question about it.

5) Your influences and ours are similar, or in the ball park. Be familiar with the influences listed above. If you love those bands, that’s even better.

6) You have no problem with possible once-per-year tours, each to be no longer than about a week or so. No tours are set right now. We tailor them around everybody’s schedule, but you have to be willing to work with us on this.

7) You have to look the part at shows.

8) There is no #8.

9) Must have the ability to send and receive email at least once or twice per week. Preferred: You can use Myspace/Facebook and can help us promote.

10) Must be 25-50. Our ages range from 32 to 38.

11) Must be drug free. You can be a total alcoholic, but no drugs. If you get stoned, more power to you, but do it on your own time. Do it on ours, and we will notice and we will fire you on the spot.

What we’re NOT: metal, emo, shoegazer, Vampire Weekend, or any other sort of half-baked bubble gum twat rock.

What we ARE: Blaring redhot 70’s style glam/vamp-influenced rock and roll that puts on a kick ass live show each and every time, no matter if we’re playing to 300 people or 2.
